Student clubs, the National Junior Honor Society, and the Student Government offer other opportunities for students to become involved
and allow them to explore various leadership roles and service skills while having fun.
A well-rounded education, however, is not limited to the classroom or even to the school. Therefore, Riviera provides many other activities such as school trips and student dances to contribute to overall development and maturation.
All of these elements combine to foster growth and prepare students for academic and social success in the years to come.
The Learning Center allows students and teachers to work one on one and concentrate on areas of study which need more attention.
Advanced students can also gain from such individualization, as they are placed in an environment conducive to learning at an accelerated pace.
Students are generally scheduled for instruction at the Learning Center during their normal school hours.
Some after school sessions are available. The Learning Center staff consults regularly with classroom teachers in order to ensure continuity in lessons and that skills are appropriately targeted.
Every possible care is taken to ensure that our teaching staff is of the highest possible quality. The role of teachers extends well beyond classroom instruction. Children need to be cared for at all times and need to know that someone has an overarching awareness of their lives at school.
Teachers are accessible to parents and students alike for one-to-one consultations, are helpful in addressing individual educational needs and eager to help. The comparatively small size of each class enables our teachers to give attention to each student both inside and outside the classroom.
