Art Schools has been visited by millions of aspiring artists and art lovers. Each week I will be posting some lessons or ideas to hopefully aid you in your quest for art excellence.
I hope you enjoy. Everything at Art Schools is totally free and nothing will ever be offered for sale. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and Art School has it's imitators. Still, having said that, I encourage all who wish to provide free access to art lessons on welcome them to the fold.
It is a wonderful service to those who wish to draw and paint. Below you will find several lessons and I will be adding lessons and ideas from time to time so be sure to check back often. We are a non-traditional camp geared toward bright and creative children and offering no team sports. Campers create their own schedules, choosing from a wide variety of activities. Art Camp we are committed to offering the highest quality program, staff and facility. We welcome all children to join us and celebrate being who they are.
Camper ages range from 8-15. Art Camp program is elective and has a variety of creative activities, technology and enrichment along with individual sports. Campers choose 10 activities for each session (5 classes every other day). This enables them to improve skills in current areas of interest and try new activities they might not do at home. Art Camp is non-competitive, geared to each camper exploring his or her interests.
There is a class or workshop for everyone of every age at The Art Center! Do you want to learn to do ceramics, paint, or try installation works? All of these classes and specialized workshops are offered at The Art Center featuring ceramics, watercolor, pastel, figure drawing/painting, basic drawing, collage, oil painting, fibers and children's classes.
Art center covers the fundamentals of wheel throwing, use of hand-tools, glaze and slip decoration, clay body, slip formulation and raw materials. It is especially difficult to explain color for it is different for each of us.
Color is a very personal thing and each of us thinks of it in a very different way. What is presented here is intended to be only a guideline to you exploration of color. I hope that these lessons will help you to determine what you see as color.
